Precision begins with attitude.
Our story tells of the new Baden, of the kick of the Kraichgau. Of salinity, structure and juiciness.
Brothers Like Rocks in the Surf
They just have a feel for the landscape. Dig deep for the salt of the earth. Intensely vibrant, yet incredibly casual.
We're doing our own thing!
Our wines are full-bodied, vibrant, and precise. Restrained power and silky elegance envelop the mineral core.
Our story is young, fresh, and incredibly exciting. We are opening a new chapter in one of the most underestimated wine regions in the world:
the Kraichgau!
From Security to Passion
In 1983, our parents founded a garage winery in the heart of Bruchsal. Marietta was a bank clerk, Ulrich a civil servant – two career changers with a lot of passion in their blood. Since then, we have been writing our own book. Our ink is made of pure passion!
Striking, minimalist, modern
In 1990 we moved in, our new building is striking, minimalist, modern. It literally surfs on shell limestone like a ship's bow. Natural materials and warm tones ensure comfort, while a light glass front and huge terrace provide fantastic long-distance views. The Rhine plain within reach!
We, together
Every bottle of wine, every award, every success, is always the result of a great team.

Andi
Don't call him a vine whisperer. Because he is certainly not quiet when it comes to the foundation and cornerstone: "For me, a great wine always has this minerality that we want to coax out." To achieve this, Andreas relies on mass selection, propagating the best vine material directly from Burgundy and in selected core parcels. Low yields, many old vines, selective harvesting, elaborate soil cultivation, organic farming for more than two decades, and meticulous canopy management all have one goal - small berries that can ripen healthily for as long as possible. To achieve this, he literally dissects the mountain, constantly being outdoors. This love for detail captivated him in Burgundy: "There I learned to work even more precisely, to trust even more." After his tour d'horizon, which also took him to South Africa and Austria, it was clear to the globetrotter: "We don't have to hide here, we can boldly break new ground. But on ancient land."
Markus
Markus is a wineman, accompanying the creation: "Many people only talk about long yeast aging. But we do it!" He focuses on the balance between ripeness and freshness, on naturalness and finesse: "I want salty depth without stopping the juicy drinkability." All of this is cool, relaxed, casual. Like in California, where he learned and soaked up pure joie de vivre. And yet - his middle name is consistency: "Even in the cellar, it's about pure selection. Only the finest wood from Burgundy is used there." His domain is a modern climate-controlled cellar with three zones and around 600 wooden barrels. Grapes, must, and wine are moved only by gravity. Every red wine goes into barriques; traditional mash fermentation provides backbone. Even light Burgundy varieties in the vineyard area ferment in barrels. This creates space for development, for character and willpower.
