The aroma is reminiscent of a bowl of fully ripe sweet cherries: juicy, clear and intense. This is followed by delicate notes of almond and dark chocolate, which add more depth to the fruit. On the palate, despite its power, the cherry brandy is surprisingly mild and has a warm, clear and long-lasting finish.

Four different sweet cherry varieties form a kind of cuvée: one contributes a lot of fruit, another freshness, body or delicate spice. They come from around 40-year-old trees in the orchards around the winery.

When the cherry is given space.

For those who want to experience the full aroma, it is best to give the Kirschwasser some time in a small, slightly bulbous glass. With a little air, the ripe cherry becomes more and more prominent, followed by almond and a delicate hint of dark chocolate.

Served not too cold and enjoyed in small sips, the distillate gradually reveals its various facets. The fruit remains clearly at the centre, while the mild, pleasantly warm aftertaste lingers on the palate for a long time.
