Marc of Burgundy

Fruit-clear like pomace brandy. Matured like whiskey.

The aroma is reminiscent of yellow fruits slowly caramelizing: warm, ripe, and concentrated. After some time in the glass, oregano, thyme, and a subtle hint of tobacco emerge. On the palate, the Marc is powerful but not harsh. The fruit remains present for a long time, eventually transitioning into a spicy, pleasantly warm finish.

This depth comes from the pomace of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc – the particularly aromatic skins and fruit components of the grapes. They originate from the oldest and best plots and are only selected for the Marc in outstanding years.
